Roofing & Construction Project Manager
About the role
Responsible for planning and controlling every stage of roofing installations, repairs, and renovation projects to residential & commercial properties. Ensures work is completed on time and within budget while maintaining safe working conditions for all roofing and construction teams.
Responsibilities
Solicit and promote business through a variety of leads
Work with the General Manager to determine materials and manpower required for each project
Estimate project timelines and coordinate with teams across varying trades as appropriate
Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure timber, shingles, insulation, guttering, fascias, and other materials are available when needed
Plan and confirm availability of scaffolding, safety equipment, and other project requirements
Supervise teams and inspect work quality to ensure standards are met
Ensure full compliance with all safety guidelines
Prepare and deliver progress reports for all roofing work
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in roofing, construction, sales, or a related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure and when faced with unexpected delays
Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Physical Requirements
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and stretching
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Travel may be required
Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards
Must be available on-call to address delays, emergencies, weather events, and other jobsite issues
