We are hiring full-time Data Annotators to help improve the quality of robot task data collected inside our San Francisco facility. In this role, you will review videos of robotic systems performing physical tasks, identify mistakes or unusual outcomes, and label task results clearly and consistently.

This is focused, detail-oriented onsite work. It is a good fit for someone with prior data annotation experience who can apply guidelines carefully, notice small differences across repeated tasks, and help build reliable datasets for future autonomous systems.

What You Will Do

Review videos of robots performing physical tasks inside the facility.

Identify mistakes, failures, incomplete attempts, unusual behavior, and task outcomes.

Label video data according to annotation guidelines developed with the robotics and research teams.

Apply standards consistently across many similar videos and task runs.

Flag ambiguous cases, data quality issues, or repeated failure patterns to the team.

Help improve guidelines by documenting edge cases and recurring sources of confusion.

Participate in quality control workflows, including label review, error correction, and consistency checks.

Work with operators, engineers, and researchers to make annotations useful for training and evaluating robotic systems.

What We Are Looking For

2+ years of prior data annotation experience.

Strong attention to detail and consistency across repetitive review work.

Good judgment in identifying whether a task succeeded, failed, partially failed, or needs escalation.

Comfort reviewing video data for long periods while maintaining accuracy.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply guidelines carefully.

Clear written communication, especially when documenting ambiguous examples or data issues.

Reliability, punctuality, and comfort working onsite in a fast-moving facility environment.

Interest in robotics, AI, automation, or hands-on scientific systems.

Nice To Have

Experience annotating video, robotics, operational, or other time-based data.

Experience labeling task outcomes, errors, edge cases, or human/robot actions.

Familiarity with annotation tools, QA workflows, review queues, or pre-label correction.

Experience working with technical teams to improve guidelines or data quality.

Comfort with structured spreadsheets, dashboards, or internal software tools.

Role Growth

This role can grow with the facility. Strong Data Annotators may have opportunities to into quality assurance, annotation process design, dataset operations, robot operations support, training other annotators, and team leadership.

Compensation And Terms

$30-45/hr, depending on experience.

Full-time role.

Onsite in San Francisco.

Potential for future equity participation as the role and company grow.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
