Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Full-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Brooklyn office. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about racial justice, social equality, and the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. The Administrative Assistant will provide critical support to our staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to the success of our initiatives.
This is a paid, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule will be determined in coordination with the selected candidate.
Responsibilities
· Provide administrative support to staff, including scheduling, filing, and organizing documents.
· Assist with office management tasks, such as maintaining supplies and coordinating meetings.
· Manage data entry, record-keeping, and database maintenance.
· Support communication efforts, including drafting emails, memos, and reports.
· Assist in organizing events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
· Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed.
Qualifications
· Strong interest in racial justice, social equality, and nonprofit work.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to learn.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
