About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevOps ETL Developer to support analytics platforms. The role focuses on building secure, auditable, and scalable data pipelines on AWS, using AWS Glue, Matillion, and Snowflake, while applying strong DevOps and governance practices to meet regulatory and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines

Build and optimize transformations using Matillion and AWS Glue for Snowflake-based data warehouses

Handle financial data from core systems, risk engines, ERP, and regulatory source systems

Implement data reconciliation, controls, and validation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness

Support historical data retention and point‑in‑time reporting requirements

Cloud & DevOps Responsibilities

Deploy ETL pipelines and infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation)

Build CI/CD pipelines for ETL jobs, SQL code, and infrastructure artifacts

Implement job scheduling, dependency management, and failure recovery

Monitor workloads using CloudWatch, metrics, and alerts with strong SLA awareness

Data Governance, Security & Controls

Implement:

Fine‑grained access controls (IAM, Snowflake RBAC)

Encryption at rest and in transit

Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / Parameter Store)

Ensure auditability, traceability, and lineage of financial and risk data

Collaborate with governance, risk, and compliance teams on control alignment

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

3+ years of good experience with AWS: S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch

Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL (Snowflake-focused)

Advanced Snowflake SQL, performance tuning, and cost optimization

Solid Python and/or Shell scripting

CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

Experience working in regulated environments (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance)

Nice to Have

Experience supporting regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel, IFRS, SOX‑like controls)

Metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog tools

Exposure to Airflow or similar orchestration platforms

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work with non‑technical team members (Finance/Risk)

Clear documentation and interpersonal skills

High ownership and attention to detail

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance Systems, or related field
