Job Position: Web Developer/Engineer

Pay: $77,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Web Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will work with senior web developers, data engineers, and business users to build, test, and maintain custom web applications. The ideal candidate should have a wide range of knowledge of different web specialties, such as development and design.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs

Develop new user-facing features using React.js

Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Experience building visualizations and dashboards with d3.js or a similar library

Collaborate with Technical team to ensure that User Experience and Visual Design align with required functionality

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration

Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience successfully building interactive web applications and consulting services

Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

ES6, Node & NPM, Git, Webpack

Familiarity with RESTful APIs

Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data with attention to detail

Strong organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills

Knowledge of data visualization, UI, and UX design practices

Familiarity with frameworks like AngularJS, Bootstrap, and jQuery

Bachelor’s degree level (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant field of study

Experience working in Life Science Industry, Qlik Sense, and Qlik Mashups are a plus
