Sr Procurement Project Spec

As a Sr Procurement Project Spec (with Software Developer focus), here at Honeywell, you will manage procurement projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. Drive strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement. You will report directly to our Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager and you’ll work out of our Monterrey, NL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

As a Senior Procurement Project Spec (with Software Developer focus), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable software applications using .NET technologies. This role is primarily technical, with a strong focus on application architecture, development lifecycle best practices, and system integration, while also supporting and enabling procurement and sourcing-related business processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams - including IT, business stakeholders, and procurement organizations - to deliver innovative software solutions that enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and digital capabilities across the organization.

YOU MUST HAVE

Proven 5+ year experience in software development using .NET framework and related technologies.

Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, .NET Core and Entity Framework.

Required experience with SQL Server and writing efficient database queries.

Preferred experience in SQL Server Analysis Services, DAX query authoring and profiling

Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Familiarity with serverless technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure ML and Power Platform

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Telerik, Inspinia or other alternative asynchronous solutions

Familiarity with procurement process workflow, tactical buying operations, planning, strategic sourcing and direct and indirect procurement.

WE VALUE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience in cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.

Experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Planning or ISC functions is a plus.

Experience in construction of MRP, MRO, MPS or other procurement related applications is a plus.

Experience in analytics, BI technologies or reporting technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL Synapse is a plus.

Knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, Angular, or React.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to design software solutions with high specialty in procurement applications.

Maintain and improve existing procurement applications by identifying and fixing bugs and performance issues.

Contribute to procurement excellence with improvement initiatives by leveraging technology to enhance procurement workflows, reporting, and performance tracking.

Partner with procurement and sourcing stakeholders to understand process needs and translate them into scalable digital solutions supporting project execution and operational efficiency.

Provide technical support and guidance to internal users for applications and tools related to procurement and operational systems.
