General Summary:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) Specialist is responsible for the strategic planning and execution support of enterprise and mid-market pipeline generation initiatives. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Enablement to translate go-to-market objectives into actionable prospecting strategies.

The BDR Specialist focuses on territory planning, account mapping, audience creation, and outbound program setup, enabling Business Development Representatives and Sales teams to effectively execute outreach. This role serves as a critical bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring that prospecting efforts are targeted, data-driven, and aligned to ideal customer profiles (ICPs).

Essential Job Functions:

Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to gather requirements through intake forms and strategic planning sessions

Translate business objectives into target account lists, territories, and ICP-aligned audience segments

Build and maintain account mapping frameworks, including identification of key accounts, contacts, and buying groups

Leverage internal and external data sources to build and refine prospect audiences based on defined criteria

Utilize sales and data platforms to extract, cleanse, and organize prospect data for outreach readiness

Design and set up outbound sequences and campaign workflows across sales engagement platforms

Ensure proper routing, segmentation, and readiness of outreach programs for execution

Maintain data accuracy and integrity across CRM and prospecting tools

Continuously optimize targeting strategies and audience quality based on performance insights and feedback

Supportive Job Functions:

Support documentation of processes, playbooks, and best practices for audience building and campaign setup

Assist in testing and refining targeting criteria and segmentation strategies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects related to pipeline generation and data strategy

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and enablement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of B2B prospecting strategy, account-based approaches, and pipeline generation principles

Experience with account mapping, territory planning, and audience segmentation

Proficiency in working with data platforms and tools to build and manage prospect lists

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into structured targeting strategies

High attention to detail and data accuracy

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams

Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing tools

Requirements:

Minimum requirements needed to perform the job.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales Operations, RevOps, or related roles

Experience in data-driven prospecting, audience building, or sales operations support

Familiarity with B2B data providers

Experience working in a global or offshore support model preferred

Scope of Job:

Operates as a strategic and operational partner supporting pipeline generation efforts

Works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Enablement to enable effective prospecting execution

Directly impacts pipeline quality through audience targeting, segmentation, and campaign setup

Supports global go-to-market efforts by enabling US-based BDRs and Sales teams with execution-ready programs
