About the role
Company Description
Streem Energy is the first data hub helping renewable energy players manage and market their electricity production, relying heavily on artificial intelligence and advanced data models. Streem provides innovative SaaS solutions for the increasingly distributed power market.
Headquartered in Paris, the company was founded in 2020 and quickly established itself across several European markets including France, Belgium, Spain and Germany. Our ambition is to build the leading European data hub for renewable energy.
Our customers operate across the entire electricity value chain, from renewable energy producers and battery operators to aggregators and energy retailers. The Streem platform communicates in real time with thousands of energy assets, and our team is working every day to accelerate the energy transition.
Job Description
The European power market is evolving at an unprecedented pace. New regulations, market mechanisms, flexibility schemes, battery business models and grid constraints emerge every month across different countries.
As a Power Market Analyst, you will become one of Streem's key sources of knowledge on these market evolutions. Reporting directly to the Head of Market Insight/Lead Product Manager, you will work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Operations and Marketing teams to identify opportunities, anticipate changes, and transform market intelligence into actionable insights.
You will help Streem stay ahead of market trends while contributing to the company's visibility and credibility across the European energy ecosystem.
As the first dedicated hire in this newly created function, you will have a unique opportunity to shape how market intelligence is collected, shared and leveraged across Streem as we across Europe.
On your day-to-day, you will:
Monitor regulatory, market and industry developments across European power markets.
Identify and analyse emerging trends related to renewable energy, batteries, flexibility, balancing markets, grid constraints, curtailment mechanisms and other key market topics.
Produce concise internal updates and communicate relevant insights to Product, Sales and Customer Operations teams.
Support Product Managers by conducting initial research and synthesising complex topics into actionable recommendations.
Investigate specific market questions linked to product discovery, customer opportunities, strategic sales discussions or upcoming client meetings.
Contribute to the expansion of Streem products across multiple countries by analysing local market rules and identifying opportunities for feature replication and adaptation.
Track the evolution of strategic sectors such as battery storage, flexibility assets and renewable energy developments across Europe.
Collaborate with internal experts to create market content including webinars, articles, white papers, presentations and thought-leadership publications.
Build and maintain a structured knowledge base of market intelligence accessible to the wider organisation.
Qualifications
At Streem, one of our core values is to "try to get better, always". We are looking for a curious and analytical person eager to develop deep expertise in European energy markets.
1 to 4 years of experience in energy, market research, consulting, strategy, analytics or a related field.
Strong interest in renewable energy, electricity markets and the energy transition.
Excellent research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to quickly understand complex topics and identify key takeaways.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear and concise summaries for different audiences.
Comfortable working with data and quantitative analysis (Excel, SQL or Python) to extract meaningful insights from Streem's datasets and support the creation of data-driven market content.
Curious, autonomous and proactive, with a strong desire to learn continuously.
Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a plus.
Previous exposure to power markets, energy regulation, batteries, flexibility or renewable energy projects would be appreciated but is not required.
What success looks like
After a few months, you will have become a trusted source of market intelligence across the company. Product Managers will rely on your analyses to accelerate discovery, Sales teams will leverage your insights to engage customers, and Streem's market visibility will benefit from the content and expertise you help create.
Disclaimer: You don't check all the boxes but can learn fast and want to take on new challenges? Do not hesitate to apply anyway!
