About the role

Your Mission & Challenges

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and support a team of UI and UX designers, creating an environment where they can grow, be creative, and take ownership

Hold regular 1:1s and performance discussions, offering clear and helpful feedback to support individual development

Plan resources, balance workloads, and keep design projects moving forward on time

Be involved in hiring, onboarding, and helping new team members get up to speed

Design Strategy & Execution

Shape and drive the overall UI/UX vision, strategy, and standards across our products

Guide the full design process from user research and journey mapping through to wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing

Maintain consistency through design systems, style guides, and reusable components

Turn complex requirements and user needs into simple, well-thought-out design solutions

Stay up to date with tools, trends, and best practices, and bring new ideas into the team where relevant

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and Marketing to align design with product direction and technical possibilities

Present design concepts and decisions in a clear and structured way to stakeholders and leadership

Actively represent the user perspective across the organization

Coordinate with external partners such as agencies or freelancers when needed

Quality, Process & Continuous Improvement

Improve and maintain design workflows, review processes, and quality checks

Promote user research, usability testing, and data-informed decisions

Track key design metrics such as usability, engagement, and conversion, and use them to improve outcomes

Ensure accessibility and responsive design standards are consistently applied

What we can look forward to

A relevant degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a similar field

Several years of experience in UI/UX, including time spent leading or mentoring others

A strong portfolio that shows user-centered design work across web and mobile

Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping software

Solid understanding of UX methods, from research through to testing

Strong visual design skills across layout, typography, color, and design systems

Basic understanding of frontend (HTML/CSS) and design handoff processes

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

Experience working on SaaS, e-commerce, fintech, or similar products

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum ways of working

Experience building or scaling design systems

Exposure to motion design, illustration, or 3D tools

Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Mixpanel
