Who are you?

You are a proactive and commercially minded Project Manager with 5 - 8 years of experience delivering industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution center or mission-critical facility projects. You thrive in complex project environments, enjoy working collaboratively with clients and delivery teams and are passionate about delivering successful outcomes. You are capable of independently managing projects or supporting the delivery of larger, more complex programs.

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will:

Project Delivery

Support the delivery of industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution center, and operational facility projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with client objectives, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.

Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules and budgets, identifying risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.

Provide regular reporting on project status, including progress, risks, issues, and key project metrics.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, operational stakeholders, and internal team members.

Coordinate with client operational teams to manage project interfaces, operational constraints, shutdowns, commissioning activities, and business continuity requirements.

Facilitate project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items to ensure timely resolution and accountability.

Procurement & Contract Management

Support procurement and contract award activities, including tender preparation, bid evaluations, long-lead equipment procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor management.

Support/manage contract administration activities, including change management, payment certifications, claims management, and document control.

Support the management of risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.

Interface & Coordination Management

Manage project interfaces between contractors, owner-direct vendors, consultants, client teams, authorities having jurisdiction, and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Coordinate the activities of multiple project participants and ensure effective communication across all disciplines.

Support Site Plan Approval, Building Permit, and other regulatory approval processes, coordinating with relevant authorities and project stakeholders.

Construction Management

Conduct site visits as required to monitor progress, support quality assurance activities, verify safety compliance, and identify project risks.

Monitor contractor performance and support issue resolution to maintain project objectives.

Assist in the implementation of project controls, reporting systems, and governance processes.

Commissioning & Handover

Support commissioning, testing, start-up, occupancy readiness, and operational handover activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Contribute to project closeout activities, including documentation management, deficiency resolution, warranty administration, and lessons learned.

Ensure all project documentation is complete and transitioned effectively to the client and operational teams.

Qualifications

5–8 years of relevant project management experience within construction, industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution center, or related sectors.

Experience delivering new build, expansion, renovation, refurbishment, or fit-out projects.

Experience in sectors such as industrial, data centres, life sciences, commercial, or high-tech facilities is an asset.

Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and procurement routes.

Experience developing, reviewing, and monitoring project schedules using MS Project and/or Primavera P6.

Understanding of traditional construction delivery models including Design-Bid-Build, Construction Management, and Design-Build.

Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; progress toward professional certification (e.g., PMP, MRICS) is considered an asset.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
