About Us
Join our innovative team at Intel, where we develop the technology that powers wireless connectivity across the world.
Our WiFi team owns the critical flows — complex recovery mechanisms, sleep‑wake transitions, power management, radio control, platform-level interactions and much more — that make Intel’s Wi‑Fi feel bulletproof across every device and scenario. If WiFi “just works” on hundreds of millions of laptops worldwide, it’s because of what we build.
We’re looking for a capable and motivated student developer to join our team. You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and OS — tackling real challenges that impact Wi‑Fi reliability on every Intel-powered platform shipped worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver new WiFi kernel-mode driver features from concept to integration
Participate in driver and embedded development for large-scale, real-world systems
Hunt down and fix complex bugs across firmware, driver, and OS boundaries
Collaborate with firmware, other drivers and applications teams across Intel and with external partners
Gain hands-on mentorship from experienced engineers in a cross-functional environment
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with programming in C / C++
At least 3 semesters remaining until graduation
Minimum of 20 hours per week availability
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Windows kernel development or similar low-level programming (drivers, firmware, embedded)
Experience using AI tools for design, programming, and testing
Understanding of operating system internals — threads, processes, memory management, power states, kernel architecture
Understanding of hardware–software interaction and embedded systems
