Eaton is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing & Digital Solutions Engineer to support our manufacturing and CI transformation by blending advanced manufacturing principles, Industry 4.0 technologies, and modern cloud-based solutions.
Reporting to the OPEX Manager, this role is hands-on, requires technical strength, and is highly connected to the shop floor, while working closely with CI, Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to modernize how we plan, manage, and visualize production.
Who We Are
Eaton’s manufacturing environment is evolving toward a more connected, data-driven, and digitally enabled operation. Our CI & Advanced Manufacturing team focuses on eliminating waste, improving flow, and enabling better decision-making through technology. This role plays a key part in that journey by bridging manufacturing processes with cloud platforms, analytics, and modern application development.
What You Will Do
As an Advanced Manufacturing & Digital Solutions Engineer, you will support plant and CI leadership by delivering practical digital solutions that improve visibility, performance, and execution on the shop floor.

Support the deployment of Industry 4.0 initiatives focused on data connectivity, visualization, and process monitoring.
Develop and maintain digital tools that support operational KPIs, production tracking, and visual management.
Collaborate with CI and Manufacturing Engineering teams to integrate digital solutions into Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
OT & Asset Connectivity (Ignition Champion)
Act as the plant OT champion for asset connectivity, responsible for enabling, sustaining, and improving connections from manufacturing assets to the Ignition platform.
Support configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Ignition gateways, tags, alarms, historians, and visualizations to ensure reliable data availability.
Interface with SCADA and PLC systems (e.g., Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Beckhoff or equivalent) to support machine connectivity, data mapping, programming, and basic troubleshooting.

Implement cloud-native components using Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, identity and security concepts).
Design data models and pipelines leveraging Snowflake or equivalent cloud data platforms where appropriate.
Apply software development best practices including version control, testing, documentation, and security-by-design.
Data, Analytics & Automation
Structure, clean, and model manufacturing data to improve data quality and usability.
Automate manual data collection, reporting, and workflows using low-code and pro-code approaches.
Develop dashboards and visual management tools that support daily management, tiered meetings, and CI reviews.
Project & Change Enablement
Manage small to medium digital manufacturing projects from concept through deployment.
