About the role

As a Training Specialist with Manulife Bank, you will play a key role in enabling employees to build the knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed to succeed across a range of learning areas, including systems, processes, products, and professional skills. This role contributes to our mission by delivering high-quality, engaging learning solutions that drive performance, consistency, and continuous growth within the Bank. You will partner with stakeholders across Manulife Bank to translate complex information into accessible, learner-centered experiences that support real-world application. In this role, you will apply instructional design expertise, facilitation skills, and learning technologies to create scalable and impactful training programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Design and develop engaging learning solutions, including instructor-led training, eLearning, and performance support materials using best practices in instructional design

Deliver high-quality training sessions (virtual and/or in-person) using effective facilitation techniques that drive learner engagement and knowledge retention

Collaborate with Manulife Bank stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze needs and translate complex information into clear, structured learning experiences

Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, learner tracking, reporting, and optimizing the learner experience

Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and performance data, and continuously improve content and delivery approaches

Required Qualifications:

2–4 years of experience in roles involving communication, facilitation, onboarding, knowledge sharing, content creation, or stakeholder support (e.g., HR, customer success, operations, consulting, education)

Exposure to learning tools, systems, or digital platforms (e.g., LMS, knowledge bases, or content tools)

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, synthesize information, and create clear, structured content

Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Post-secondary education in Education, Training, Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in training, onboarding, instructional design, or facilitation in a corporate environment

Exposure to or experience with LMS administration (e.g., course setup, reporting, learner management)

Familiarity with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia) and basic multimedia design

Knowledge of adult learning principles and learner-centered design approaches

Experience providing consultative support to stakeholders to assess needs and recommend solutions

Experience delivering virtual and/or in-person training sessions

Background in banking or financial services, particularly in regulated environments

Salary range is expected to be between

$55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
