Project Delivery Risk Manager

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Project Delivery Risk Manager to join our RTS - Rail and Transit Systems team. Reporting into the National Manager – Bid \& Delivery Risk, this role proactively manages project risks and opportunities throughout the delivery lifecycle to meet project goals and contractual commitments. It involves working with internal stakeholders to identify and address risks, support mitigation efforts, and help projects achieve target margins and financial objectives. Success depends on collaborating with risk owners to provide timely support for risk reduction and opportunity development.

Experience, skills \& knowledge:

7 to 10 years relevant work experience. Rail industry experience is desirable, although not mandatory

Experience in managing risk across the full project lifecycle – from initiation to closeout

Demonstrated success in supporting margin improvement through risk retirement and opportunity realisation

Experience in facilitating risk workshops with delivery teams

Ability to translate technical delivery risks into actionable mitigation plans

Advance experience with R\&O management tools and PBI reporting (e.g. ARM, @Risk)

Familiarity with project scheduling tools and their integration with risk registers (MS Project, P6)

Solid understanding of project management and control.

Skilled in commercial management, contract interpretation, and legislation.

Advanced analytical, planning, and financial budgeting abilities.
