Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cost and managerial accounting principles and practices with a focus on financial reporting. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to support financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing, background

Degree in Accounting

CPA a plus

Solid accounting background with knowledge in Work in Progress/COGS

Multi-site financial oversight

Sm to mid-sized company experience

Independent/entrepreneurial nature with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ work ethic

Revenue oversight of up to $20M

Able to manage multiple companies and intercompany related transactions.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accrual accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash management.

Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing in accordance with applicable laws.

Utilize financial software, including Quickbooks Online, to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.

Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on accounting best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of debits and credits, tax regulations, and accrual accounting principles.

Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with Quickbooks is a plus.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
