JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Product is responsible for architecting and scaling Southwestern Consulting’s coaching ecosystem; integrating training, coaching programs, digital content, and tools into a cohesive, client-centric platform that drives measurable results and long-term engagement. This position owns the vision, strategy, and performance of the full product portfolio, ensuring that all offerings work together to improve client outcomes, coach effectiveness, retention, and lifetime value. The Director of Product designs and optimizes an interconnected system that supports every stage of the client and coach journey. The Director of Product partners cross-functionally with Coaching, Sales, Marketing, and Technology to build scalable, repeatable, and innovative solutions that fuel growth. This position leverages data, market insights, and direct field feedback to continuously evolve the ecosystem and position Southwestern Consulting as the market leader in coaching and performance development. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Vision, Ecosystem and Strategy Leadership
Define and lead the vision for the coaching ecosystem, ensuring alignment across training programs, coaching offerings, digital tools, and content
Own and manage the product portfolio strategy and roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that drive growth, engagement, and measurable outcomes
Lead the development of integrated product experiences, ensuring all offerings work together as a unified platform rather than siloed products
Lead, mentor, and scale the product function, creating clarity, accountability, and high performance within the team
Partner with executive leadership to align product strategy with revenue goals, retention targets, and long-term vision
Coach Enablement & Delivery Effectiveness
Design and optimize the end-to-end client and coach journey, from acquisition through retention, expansion, and advocacy
Ensure all offerings deliver clear, measurable client outcomes and align with the company’s coaching methodology and standards
Build systems that enable coaches to be more effective, scalable, and consistent in delivering results
Establish and maintain strong feedback loops with coaches, clients, and internal stakeholders to continuously refine and improve offerings
Drive data-informed decision-making, using KPIs such as client results, engagement, retention, and ROI to guide strategy
Collaborate with Partners and Senior Partners to source, validate, and scale new ideas, gaining organizational buy-in
Ensure proper management of intellectual property, content rights, and testimonial usage
Stay ahead of industry trends in coaching, learning, and digital transformation to maintain competitive advantage
Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement across the product ecosystem
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Psychology, or related field
8 years of experience in product strategy, program development, or business line ownership, preferably within coaching, training, education, or professional services
4 years of leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams
Proven track record of building, scaling, or transforming a product ecosystem, program portfolio, or service platform
Strong understanding of coaching models, learning design, behavior change, and client transformation (preferred)
Experience designing or optimizing customer/client journeys and lifecycle experiences
Demonstrated ability to connect product strategy to revenue growth, retention, and lifetime value
Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams in a service-based or hybrid business model
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into scalable systems and execution
Experience with digital platforms, LMS systems, and content-driven delivery models
High level of business acumen, including KPIs, unit economics, and ROI measurement
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment and influence at all levels
Ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and continuous improvement
