Who are we looking for?
Our Central US Water business is growing! We're looking for a Project Engineer with expertise in water and wastewater conveyance systems to support and/or lead the design of complex infrastructure projects. This role involves being a key part of multidisciplinary teams, supporting design and construction phases, and supporting successful delivery of pipeline, pump station, and related conveyance projects.
You will also work with a team to support client development and strategic growth of the business locally. The purpose is to build credible relationships with clients, teaming partners, and the community. This position will require a strong ability to support multiple projects and initiatives.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Project engineer for planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater conveyance projects, including but not limited to pipelines, force mains, gravity sewers, and pump stations.
Coordinate with permitting agencies, contractors, internal technical teams, and clients as necessary.
Prepare engineering reports, design documents, specifications, and cost estimates, as needed.
Support permitting and environmental documentation processes.
Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
Support proposal development efforts for new business
Support relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales and marketing
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in environmental or civil engineering
Professional Engineer license in Missouri or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date
5+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, water resource, and/or conveyance projects;
Experience in water and wastewater conveyance and pump station
Experience in executing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget
Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills
