Technical Advisor

Role Overview

The Technical Advisor is a strategic customer-facing role responsible for managing the post-sales lifecycle of assigned customers while acting as their trusted cybersecurity advisor.

This role combines deep cybersecurity expertise with strong customer engagement to help organizations successfully adopt, operationalize, and maximize the value of the TrendAI security platform. The Technical Advisor works closely with customers to optimize their security architecture, strengthen their cyber resilience, and ensure the platform is effectively integrated into their security operations.

The role collaborates closely with the Sales organization to support account strategy, renewals, and growth opportunities while ensuring customers achieve their security and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Ownership

Serve as the primary post-sales owner for assigned customer accounts.

Lead ongoing engagement with customers to ensure strong relationships and alignment with their security and business priorities.

Perform responsibilities typically associated with customer lifecycle management, including:

Customer onboarding and adoption planning

Success planning

Executive Business Reviews (EBRs)

Adoption and usage monitoring

Customer health management

Renewal support

Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders such as CISOs, security architects, SOC leaders, and IT leadership.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact customer satisfaction, adoption, or retention.

Technical Advisory

Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to customers.

Provide guidance on security architecture, threat detection strategies, and operational best practices.

Conduct architecture discussions and technical reviews to ensure the effective deployment and optimization of the TrendAI platform.

Translate complex cybersecurity topics into actionable guidance for both technical and executive stakeholders.

Value Realization & Adoption

Ensure customers achieve measurable value and outcomes from the TrendAI platform.

Drive adoption and optimization of capabilities such as:

XDR

Endpoint protection

Cloud security

Identity protection

AI-driven threat detection

Help customers improve their security maturity and operational effectiveness.

Track and communicate customer outcomes, platform value, and ROI.

Customer Challenges & Opportunity Identification

Proactively identify new customer challenges, evolving risks, and security gaps within the customer environment.

Engage with customer stakeholders to understand operational, technical, and strategic security challenges.

Develop and recommend solutions and strategies leveraging TrendAI capabilities to help customers address these challenges.

Identify opportunities to the adoption of the TrendAI platform by aligning additional capabilities with the customer’s evolving needs.

Partner with Sales to position new solutions that enhance the customer’s security posture while expanding the TrendAI footprint within the organization.

Security Posture Improvement Leadership

Help customers evaluate and improve their overall cybersecurity posture and resilience.

Conduct security maturity and posture assessments aligned with industry frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and Zero Trust.

Provide strategic guidance on improving threat detection, response capabilities, and security operations efficiency.

Work with customers to define security improvement roadmaps that leverage TrendAI technologies to reduce risk and strengthen cyber defenses.

Sales Collaboration & Account Growth

Partner closely with the Sales team on account strategy and customer engagement.

Support renewals, expansions, and strategic account planning.

Contribute technical expertise to help demonstrate the value and impact of TrendAI solutions during customer engagements.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Sales Engineering, Product Management, and Threat Research teams.

Provide feedback from customers to help improve product capabilities, adoption strategies, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles such as security architect, security consultant, security engineer, technical account manager, or technical advisor.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains including endpoint security, XDR/SOC operations, cloud security, identity security, and network security architecture.

Experience working directly with enterprise security teams and CISOs.

Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working at a cybersecurity vendor in a post-sales or technical advisory role.

Familiarity with industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS, and Zero Trust architectures.

Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC.

Business Impact of the Role

The Technical Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring customers successfully adopt, operationalize, and their use of the TrendAI cybersecurity platform. By combining deep technical expertise with proactive customer engagement, this role helps organizations strengthen their security posture while maximizing the value of their investment in TrendAI.

Through ongoing advisory, value realization efforts, and identification of emerging customer challenges, the Technical Advisor contributes directly to customer retention, renewal success, and platform expansion. By partnering closely with Sales and aligning solutions with evolving customer needs, the role supports revenue growth, increased platform adoption, and long-term strategic customer relationships.
