Job Description
Join CAE’s Simulator Technician team based in Amsterdam, Holland, working on advanced flight simulation technology. This role offers exposure to a wide range of modern simulators, systems, and equipment, providing opportunities for learning, development, and progression within the technical function.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems.
Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on simulator systems.
Use the Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight checks on all simulators.
Run Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
Complete required training activities.
Perform basic visual system tasks including visual alignment.
Assist with refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.
Learn and comply with the CAE Compliance Management System.
Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
Perform logistics duties including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain simulator conditions.
Complete administrative tasks as required.
Support the technical services group as needed.
Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace/Aviation, or Computer Engineering or at least 1 year relevant experience in a technical field.
English languange
Preferred Qualifications
Good knowledge of MS Office tools.
Basic understanding of avionics, motion, and visual systems.
Computer literacy including PC architecture and/or networking.
Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
Strong motivation and attention to workmanship.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative.
Customer‑oriented with the ability to manage sensitive situations tactfully.
