About the role

Overview

The primary function of the Store & Operations Manager is to focus on increasing sales volume, closing ratios, margins and manage inventory levels by developing Retail Management. The Store & Operations Manager will develop team members to focus on customer service, customer education, staff training, motivation, and daily operations. High priority and efforts are expected in the areas of communicating and monitoring Sales Associates’ compliance with policies and procedures ensuring that proper training is given to maximize sales performance. Appropriate emphasis should also be placed on attracting and retaining Sales Associates to meet staffing objectives. This position will be required to be present to lead and manage employees during holiday sales events

Duties

Manage associates which includes but is not limited to attracting talent through networking, interviewing, training, evaluating performance, coaching, administering discipline and documentation, and managing staffing levels

Oversee the daily operations of an interior and exterior property owned or leased by Miskelly Furniture, ensuring it is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing (including but not limited to interior and exterior lighting, landscaping and irrigation, signage times on and off, security and safety of doors)

Manage showroom inventory, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and coordinating with suppliers for replenishment

Responsible for in store transfers (IST)

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues promptly

Schedule staff shifts, conduct performance evaluations, and implement staff development programs

Assist in maintaining suitable environmental surroundings. This includes internal and external store products; counters; breakroom, restrooms; cleanliness and organization; merchandising, signage, and presentation alignment. Includes care for company property to ensure the longest possible life span on these investments.

Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement

Monitor sales targets and implement strategies to achieve goals

Oversee customer pickups

Manage delivery team(s) that operates Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 8:00 a.m. until routes are completed

Responsible for scheduling service and maintenance on trucks and equipment

Manage store, control expenses, and ensure financial objectives are achieved

Prepare sales and financial reports as required

Ensure all store operations comply with company policies,

procedures, and safety standards

Provide on-the-job training for sales in the areas of products, policies, procedures, sales techniques, and customer service

Conduct one-on-one performance review meetings with sales associates to address areas of strength and weakness

Ensure the communication of current advertising, sales events, finance offers and any other special offers to Sales Associates

Responsible for store opening and closing procedure

Respond to after-hours security alarm calls

Assist the Director of Retail Operations with projects

Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:

HS Diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 3 years of sales experience required

Experience in the retail furniture industry is highly desired.

Minimum of 1 year of management experience

requires experience working with CRM systems, Sales Forecasting tools, and sales data analysis

Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills

Ability to mentor, coach and develop employees.

Pay: $54,835.57 - $66,038.53 per year
