What you’ll do:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations at the assigned site(s). The Operations Supervisor has direct supervision of Front Office Staff (Check-In & Check-Out) and maintains dotted line oversight of clinical support teams including Medical Assistants, Nurses, and X-Ray Techs at the assigned site. As a “working supervisor,” the Operations Supervisor is expected to actively support front desk operations by performing daily tasks such as check-in and check-out functions as needed. The Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring a consistent, high-quality patient experience and maintaining effective coordination across all site functions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Under physician and leadership direction, acts as a liaison between facilities, IT, and other departments to proactively resolve issues and optimize operations.
Ensures staff maintains high standards of customer service; coaches and holds staff accountable to expectations.
In consultation with the Clinical Operations Manager, makes daily assignments and balances workloads as appropriate.
Participates in the hiring process, including interviewing and recommending candidates for hire.
Demonstrates clerical expertise and serves as a subject matter expert for front end workflows; provides training and ongoing support to staff.
Optimizes workflows for efficient and quality care delivery. Optimizes the patient’s access to care.
Address patient concerns timely and escalates when appropriate.
Regularly reports on patient satisfaction and key operational metrics.
Ensures that staff are educated on and comply with all company policies.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels; proactively escalate staffing concerns as needed
Provides regular feedback and coaching to staff and completes and/or participates in annual performance evaluations.
Communicates consistently with staff to share updates, reinforce expectations, and foster collaboration and problem-solving.
Applies corrective action processes when appropriate in a fair and consistent manner.
Ensures that all areas within the practice are physically maintained (cleanliness, tidiness, presentability) to ONS standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
Two years of healthcare experience in managing a team preferred
Knowledge of Practice Management Software
Experience in a comparable medical practice environment.
Strong interpersonal, telephone, and computer skills.
Leadership ability. Experience in managing a team preferred
