Job Description:
A vacancy for a Tech Lead - C#, AWS, SQL has arisen within Airbus India in Bangalore. You will join the Software Development team within the Digital department for a specific domain - Skywise Software Factory, which offers Airbus Digital Services.
Following best IT practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), the team develops software products on iOS/iPad, web applications, etc. that can be used by pilots or airline’s OCC.
As a member of the Software Factory (Skywise) team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading data transformation, data exposition through API using C#, SQL, AWS managed services . You will also be responsible for profiling and improving application performance. You will own the code developed by your time and will be responsible to troubleshoot the same when the need arises.
We are looking for a high energy, team player as part of a squad and you will support all aspects of software development, including detailed design, estimates, coding and testing, automation and support of solutions and their deployment process. Squads support specific services which work together to provide flight operation solutions for airlines to run safe and performant operations.
Squads can be flexible, so there is always an opportunity to work on new and existing technologies, as well as new or existing solutions, bringing your experience to a variety of challenges.
This position will report to a Group Manager within Airbus India. Passion for technology and problem solving are a must have.
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Lead the development team technically, on all SDLC aspects as well as coding/debugging/testing, etc.
Perform code reviews for team members and suggest improvements
Provide suggestions to the Group Manager on potential skill upgrade or performance impact for the team
Work closely with Solution Architects to understand application needs & identify the best design choice for software implementation.
Play the role of code-owner; Lead code reviews and chapter learning activities and design reviews at the release train level
Responsible for quality delivery and do right the first time
Coding, testing, documenting and debugging assigned development tasks to meet acceptance criteria
Support the implementation of features according to designs and specifications
Participate and support in estimating of stories
Review proposed test cases and test automation to execute them
Communicate ideas and plans verbally and written in support of a squad
Use problem solving skills to make progress on implementations and issues under the supervision of senior team members
Solving well defined issues for support and customers as needed
Support agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process
Driven to self learn technical and non-technical skills
Support squad and self based continual improvement
Actively participate in all squad activities with a positive encouraging attitude
Also support hiring of new team members, when required.
Strong stakeholder management with both internal and external stakeholders
Active participation in the techlead community of practice driving the quality mindset within the teams
A go to person for the resolution of any critical issues that arise and taking accountability and to lead them to closure
This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
The skills you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, information technology or other related
discipline with 11 to 15 years of experience
Strong experience working in data transformation, data exposition (API) technologies.
Data model creation and associated business understanding interest
Experience in following an agile methodology (SCRUM, KABAN, SAFe).
Must have
C# and SQL
API development
AWS managed services, containers
Experience in agile development / SAFe ways of working
Supporting critical applications
Extensive trouble shooting experience
Managing and owning large code bases
Nice to have
Typescript
HTML, CSS
Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project
English: advanced level both verbal and written

The role will have the following key outputs:
Strong link with the Airbus Digital organization and Skywise organization
Good quality code and participation in improvement of existing code
Proactive in providing guidance & inputs for the product’s roadmap
