Job Description
You will work as part of the Tax Advisory team supporting private and mid-market clients on a broad range of complex tax matters. The role is advisory-focused with strong emphasis on technical research, analysis, and high-quality written advice.
Key responsibilities include:
Advising clients on complex Australian tax matters across both domestic and cross-border scenarios
Supporting transaction work including asset acquisitions, divestments, and capital gains tax (CGT) advisory
Assisting with tax due diligence and providing input into transaction structuring, including buy/sell side engagements
Preparing detailed, technically robust written advice on a range of tax issues, including restructuring and cross-border matters
Supporting with ATO reviews, audits, and dispute-related matters
Undertaking in-depth technical tax research and applying legislation to practical client scenarios
Assisting with structuring matters including controlled entities and group arrangements
Contributing to financing and structuring considerations across broader advisory engagements
Collaborating with senior team members to deliver high-quality outcomes across engagements

Experience and operating at Consultant or Senior Consultant ready to step up
Experience in tax advisory within a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm is highly regarded
Strong Australian tax technical capability, with exposure to advisory-focused work
Experience or interest in transaction tax (buy/sell side), including CGT and cross-border considerations
Proven ability to undertake detailed technical research and draft high-quality written tax advice
Exposure to ATO reviews, audits and/or dispute processes
Experience working with complex structures, including private groups and controlled entities
Qualifications
Law background or strong legal-style analytical skillset highly regarded.
We are looking for applicants that have Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Accounting/Finance/ Law or similar. With a CA or CPA qualification completed or progress.
