Commercial Sales Executive

Location: Burnips Equipment – Dorr, MI

Burnips Equipment is a family-owned equipment dealership dedicated to helping our customers succeed. We provide equipment sales, parts, and service solutions to customers across West Michigan. We understand that if our customers do not succeed, neither will we.

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Commercial Sales Executive to join our growing sales team. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving profitable sales growth throughout their assigned territory.

The position will be based out of our Dorr location and will cover Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, Cass, and Berrien counties.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular in-person visits to customer locations throughout the assigned territory.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective and existing customers.

Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-through.

Develop a deep understanding of customer operations and recommend equipment and solutions that meet their needs.

Prepare and present quotations while ensuring timely follow-up and documentation of customer interactions.

Generate profitable sales orders and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.

Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Parts, Service, and Management teams to provide an outstanding customer experience.

Maintain accurate sales activity, customer information, and opportunity tracking within Salesforce CRM.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with manufacturer representatives that support company and branch objectives.

Stay informed on industry trends, equipment offerings, financing programs, and competitive market conditions.

Qualifications

Proven success in outside sales, business development, or account management.

Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.

Agriculture, turf, construction, or equipment industry experience is highly preferred.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
