The Opportunity: We’re hiring a high-ticket, consultative Business Development / Sales Closer to help business owners take the next step toward a sale, by earning trust, leading a thoughtful discovery process, and closing seller representation engagements. This is not a transactional, high-volume role. It’s for someone who can guide sophisticated, emotional, high-stakes decisions with clarity, patience, and integrity, and who is also comfortable doing the front-end work required to create opportunities. What You’ll Do

Generate and convert seller opportunities by engaging business owners who are exploring a sale, succession plan, recapitalization, or exit timeline.

Proactively create a pipeline through outbound prospecting, including cold calling and disciplined follow-up.

Run consultative discovery calls and in-person meetings to uncover goals, timing, readiness, and deal-fit.

Educate owners on valuation drivers, market dynamics, and the sell-side process.

Present Lion’s value proposition and process, address objections, and close representation agreements.

Maintain a disciplined pipeline: follow-up sequences, next steps, and accurate CRM updates.

Coordinate with valuation and deal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from signed engagement to execution.

Travel regionally (as reasonably possible) to meet qualified owners and strengthen relationships.

Uphold confidentiality standards at every step (NDAs, discretion, and professional communication).

You build a predictable pipeline of qualified owner conversations.

You consistently convert qualified opportunities into signed engagements.

You become a trusted advisor to owners, calm, prepared, and credible.

Who You Are

Proven closer in B2B high-ticket sales with long sales cycles (professional services, advisory, financial services, real estate, consulting, or similar).

Comfortable with outbound prospecting and cold calling as a core part of building a pipeline.

Strong consultative sales skills: discovery, diagnosis, value framing, objection handling, and ethical closing.

Relationship-driven communicator who can earn trust with owners (often first-time sellers).

Comfortable discussing financial concepts at a practical level (valuation ranges, EBITDA, risk, readiness). You don’t need to be an analyst, but you must be credible.

High integrity and discretion, confidentiality is non-negotiable.

Organized and process-oriented: you follow a system, keep clean notes, and manage follow-ups.

Coachable, competitive, and motivated by mastery and long-term career growth.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant B2B sales/business development experience (high-ticket preferred).

Track record of closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.

Willingness to work primarily from our Bee Cave (Austin), TX headquarters.

Ability to travel regionally for qualified meetings.

Compensation & Structure

First 90 days: 1099 contractor engagement (probationary period).

Post-probation: opportunity to convert into a base salary + commission + bonus structure.

Earnings trajectory:

Year 1: targeted earnings north of $100K for strong performance

Year 3+: targeted earnings $150K - $250K with uncapped earning potential
