About the role

Jamison Construction Solutions, a leading commercial asphalt and sitework contractor, is seeking a motivated and organized Project Planner to support continued business development growth throughout the region. This position combines business development, estimating support, client relationship management, and project coordination for commercial paving, excavation, and asphalt & concrete maintenance projects.

We are looking for someone who can build relationships, capable of managing opportunities from initial contact through project completion, and help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

Review job specifications, drawings, and site conditions

Support relationship managers with planning, documentation, and customer communication

Assist with our operations management with scheduling crews, subcontractors, and equipment

Coordinate project logistics and communicate timelines with customers

Help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Track change orders and job progress

Business Development

Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, general contractors, municipalities, developers, and commercial clients

Identify and pursue new commercial asphalt and pavement maintenance opportunities

Conduct site visits and meet with prospective customers

Prepare proposals, pricing, and scopes of work

Follow up on bids and negotiate contracts

Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and track opportunities through CRM systems

Administrative & Operational Support

Maintain organized project files and customer records

Collaborate with estimating, operations, and accounting departments

Attend project meetings and occasional pre-construction meetings

Assist with collections and customer follow-up when needed

Qualifications

Experience in commercial asphalt, paving, construction sales, sitework, or related industries preferred

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to read site plans and understand construction scopes

Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills

Self-motivated and capable of working independently and efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic estimating/CRM software

Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Experience

Commercial paving or asphalt maintenance sales

Estimating or project coordination in construction

Knowledge of sealcoating, striping, concrete, excavation, or pavement repair

Existing relationships within the commercial construction/property management industry

Previous experience working on commercial, municipal, or DOT projects

Bachelor or Associate degree in Construction Management (or related)
