Responsibilities
Manage daily passenger transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and route planning using systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and GPS tools.
Coordinate with drivers, maintenance teams, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure fleet availability and optimal performance.
Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and transportation planning tools to analyze routes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate data entry for all transportation activities, including freight movements, dispatch logs, and service reports.
Monitor fleet management metrics to uphold safety standards and compliance with transportation regulations.
Communicate effectively with team members via multi-line phone systems while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
Qualifications
Proven experience in transportation management or logistics with a focus on passenger transit operations.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data from GPS, GIS, transportation management systems, and other analytical tools.
Familiarity with freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
Proficiency in using Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
Demonstrated expertise in dispatching, transportation planning, supply chain coordination, and logistics optimization.
Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
