About the role
Position Summary
We are partnering with a well-established provider of energy and industrial infrastructure services to identify an experienced Operations Manager. This individual will be responsible for directing plant operations, driving operational performance, and ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable standards. The role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled operations team while contributing to reliability, continuous improvement, and overall plant success.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day facility operations to maximize safety, reliability, and productivity.
Manage, mentor, and support operations personnel, fostering a culture focused on safety, accountability, and professional development.
Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and technical teams to align operational goals and plant priorities.
Participate in outage preparation, execution, and post-outage reviews to improve future performance.
Analyze plant operating data, identify performance gaps, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, operating procedures, and company safety policies.
Conduct routine inspections and assessments to maintain operational readiness and equipment reliability.
Develop and maintain operational procedures, training materials, and departmental documentation.
Coordinate contractor activities and assist with scheduling, work management, and completion of maintenance tasks.
Support ongoing process improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
Previous leadership experience within power generation, utility operations, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments.
Proven experience supervising plant operators, shift personnel, or operations teams.
Familiarity with industrial safety programs, lockout/tagout procedures, permit systems, and contractor oversight.
Experience supporting plant outages, maintenance coordination, and startup/readiness activities is highly desirable.
Understanding of industrial equipment and systems, including rotating machinery, mechanical assets, instrumentation, and controls.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Pay: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
