We are partnering with a fast-growing AI startup transforming the financial services industry through cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions.

Backed by top-tier venture capital firms and industry-leading investors, the company is scaling rapidly and looking for its first dedicated Recruiting Leader to build and own the recruiting function from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and play a critical role in shaping the company's future growth.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, high-ownership position reporting directly to the CEO.

You will be responsible for building and executing the recruiting strategy while personally managing the full hiring lifecycle across technical and non-technical functions.

As the first recruiter on the team, you will help establish hiring processes, define talent standards, and build the recruiting infrastructure that will support the company's next stage of growth.

ResponsibilitiesFull-Cycle Recruiting

Own sourcing, screening, interviewing, closing, and onboarding activities

Recruit across Engineering, AI/ML, Product, Sales, and Operations teams

Build relationships with high-caliber candidates and industry talent

Deliver a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process

Hiring Strategy & Talent Calibration

Partner with executive leadership to define hiring standards and talent profiles

Use market intelligence, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting data to support hiring decisions

Maintain hiring quality as headcount scales

Recruiting Infrastructure

Build recruiting workflows, processes, and documentation

Implement reporting, dashboards, and recruiting metrics

Create scalable systems to support future growth

RequirementsRequired Qualifications

4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience

Experience recruiting technical talent in high-growth startup environments

Proven track record hiring across multiple functions, including:

Engineering

AI/ML

Product

Go-to-Market (Sales, Operations, Customer Success)

Strong sourcing and candidate-closing capabilities

Hands-on approach with the ability to independently manage the entire recruiting process

Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Based in New York City or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting AI, machine learning, or research talent

Previous experience as a founding recruiter or first recruiting hire

Experience scaling teams within venture-backed startups

Background recruiting within regulated industries, professional services, or financial services

Strong focus on hiring quality, retention, and long-term talent success
