About the role
Kollabio is building AI-native platform solutions. We are seeking a capable, proactive Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer who operates with ownership and delivers production-ready code. You will own features from design through production, working in a focused environment where you ship real code that matters. We provide guidance and mentorship to support your growth. The responsibility—and the growth—are yours.
This is a systems-oriented engineering role for someone who takes initiative, cares about quality, and builds with structure and clarity. You work with clear architectural principles and strong support from senior engineers, but execution and ownership are yours. You make pragmatic decisions, seek feedback, and improve with each iteration.
AI-Native Engineering: You leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) as core parts of your engineering practice from day one—for code generation, design exploration, debugging, and learning. Beyond tool proficiency, you design and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into our products, translating AI into user value. This is modern engineering, and you will master it alongside your team.
What You Will Own
Deliver backend services using NestJS and TypeScript—from design through testing to production
Build responsive front-end components and pages using React, Next.js, or Vue
Translate product requirements and acceptance criteria into clean, working code
Write meaningful unit and integration tests that protect your code from regression
Participate in code reviews—both reviewing others' work and receiving feedback
Contribute to REST API design and documentation
Participate actively in technical discussions, sprint planning, and architectural decisions
Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into features with senior guidance
Use AI tools strategically throughout your work—from code generation to debugging to design exploration
Requirements
Core Engineering
1-2 years of professional software development experience, or strong computer science fundamentals

Comfortable with Git, GitHub, and standard version control workflows
Understanding of HTTP, REST basics, and how APIs work
AI-Assisted Development
Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) or ability to pick them up quickly
Familiarity with AI/LLM API concepts or demonstrated interest in learning them
Process & Collaboration
Problem-solving mindset and curiosity about how systems work
Ability to take feedback seriously and improve based on code reviews and guidance
Preferred Experience
Experience with NestJS, Next.js, or similar frameworks
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, relational databases, or ORMs like Prisma
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs or building with language models in projects
Work experience in Agile or Scrum environments

What Success Looks Like
Production-ready code that is clean, well-tested, and follows established patterns
Features that ship on schedule with solid test coverage and no shortcuts
Thoughtful pull requests with clear descriptions and openness to iterative feedback

Growth into a trusted, capable engineer who operates with ownership and ships quality work
Who Will Thrive in This Role
Engineers who operate with ownership and accountability for their work
Developers who ask thoughtful questions and act on feedback to improve continuously
