Financial Analyst (Owner's Representative)
Status: Full-time
Sorensen Gross Construction Services, a Top Workplace award recipient, is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to serve as an Owner's Representative. The first project in this role will be in Warren, MI.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial accountability across projects by overseeing financial reporting, performance tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management
Produce monthly financial reports including key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis
Lead annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance
Stay current on investment regulations and financial policies
Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective leadership and supervisory capabilities
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
Proficient in systems analysis, including the design and development of databases
Comprehensive understanding of project management principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with SAP is a plus
Experience in Power BI, Forecasting, and Cashflow Management
Experience as an analyst for construction related projects preferred
Experience with General Motors a plus
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
