About the role
Overview Detroit Forest Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty lumber products servicing building material retailers across Michigan as well as northern Ohio. The Lumber Sales Associate position is responsible for continuing positive customer relationships and identifying new potential customers. The job will include office-based inside sales and outside sales visiting customers.
Core Responsibilities
Build and maintain positive customer relationships
Manage sales process from quoting through final sale
Educate dealer customers on benefits of products and brands stocked by Detroit Forest Products
Assist dealer customers with blueprint takeoffs as needed
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain existing customer relationships
Self-starter that does not require strong oversight
Basic computer skills with ability to learn order entry software
Bachelor's or Associates Degree preferred
Previous experience in lumber or building material sales is preferred
Pay: $36,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
