Payroll Account Manager

Duties

Manage comprehensive payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other leading payroll software.

Perform detailed data entry for employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information to ensure accurate payroll calculations.

Reconcile accounts related to payroll transactions, benefits administration, and tax filings to maintain financial accuracy.

Prepare and review journal entries for payroll-related transactions within the general ledger accounting system.

Conduct account reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts linked to payroll activities.

Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.

Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and taxation.

Support benefits administration processes including enrollment, deductions, and compliance reporting.

Assist with governmental accounting requirements related to payroll taxes and reporting obligations.

Maintain meticulous records of all payroll transactions, audits, and reconciliation reports for audit readiness.

Experience

Proven experience managing payroll functions using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos or UltiPro is essential.

Strong understanding of payroll management principles coupled with knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms.

Familiarity with corporate accounting practices including general ledger accounting, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries and debits & credits.

Experience in benefits administration, non-profit accounting or governmental accounting is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation and analysis with precision.

Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll taxes and reporting requirements.

Excellent data entry skills including proficiency in 10 key typing and attention to detail for accurate bookkeeping.

Strong analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts relevant to human resources and payroll operations. Pay: $72,256.46 - $94,975.52 per year
