About the Role:
Citco IT is a global team of IT professionals that is responsible for the development and support of IT applications throughout Citco Group’s divisions.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Developer to work within a very exciting and challenging role within the Bank It Department. The successful candidate will be working with a specialized technical teams serving a wide range of buiness groups.
We are seeking a Senior Manager to provide oversight and leadership across a portfolion of significant products and modules within our Banking platform. You will set the functional and/or regional direction for standards and processes for the Bank. Oversees and manages the budget and provides report metrics to Senior Management. Extensive experience delivering strategic wide development projects related to the investment banking or hedge fund industry. Builds and directs a development organization in the overall design, planning and resourcing for all designated projects.
Job Duties in Brief:
Directs multiple development teams across different business lines, locations and/or technology platforms
Establishes budgeting requirements and actively participates in the CITCO IT budget process. Accurately estimates size/complexity of software development projects
Delivers complex software projects on-time, on-budget and on-scope with low production defect rates.
Triage systems during P1, P2 and other operational issues. Implements short-term fixes to resolve customer issues quickly, and development long-term strategic plans to ensure systems operate with minimal or zero operational down time.
Ensures all audit and risk items are identified and closed in the expected time frame.
Drives organizational change and process improvement programs across the team; actively participated and leads cross-functional and cross-team improvement plans.
Recruits, trains and mentors the development team
About You:
Required IT skills
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field
Masters degree, PhD or other advanced degree desirable
5+ years of hands-on development experience
5+ years of relevant experience as Manager of software development teams
Beneficial IT skills
AWS experience
Application server deployments (JBoss/WildFly)
Messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ)
CI/CD pipeline tooling for cloud and on-premise
Personal skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout the organization at all levels.
Extensive knowledge of financial accounting
Understanding of various technologies and tools
