About the role

Ready to take the next step in your finance career with a global business that values collaboration, innovation and people?

BioMar Australia is looking for a commercially minded and driven Financial Accountant to join our team on Tasmania’s stunning Northwest Coast. This is more than a traditional accounting role — it’s an opportunity to become a key contributor within a growing business, partnering closely with leaders across operations and finance to influence decision-making and drive performance.

This role has been designed with long-term growth in mind, offering strong development opportunities and exposure across the business for someone looking to build their leadership capability and progress their career over time.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, treasury management and commercial analysis across BioMar Australia. You’ll work across both strategic and operational finance activities, partnering with stakeholders to improve business performance and support informed decision-making.

You’ll be involved in:

Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

Budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling

Cashflow and treasury management

Inventory reconciliations and cost analysis

Financial controls, governance and compliance reporting

Business partnering across operational and leadership teams

Continuous improvement initiatives and finance projects

Supporting team capability, collaboration and engagement across finance

This is a hands-on role where your commercial thinking, attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships will genuinely make an impact.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who combines strong technical accounting capability with a collaborative and proactive approach. You’ll thrive in an environment where teamwork, engagement and continuous improvement are valued just as highly as technical expertise.

You’ll ideally bring:

Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance within a commercial or manufacturing environment

Strong financial reporting, forecasting and analytical capability

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

A supportive and team-focused mindset

A natural curiosity to improve systems, processes and business outcomes

Why Join BioMar?

At BioMar, people matter. We foster a culture where collaboration, respect and engagement are at the centre of how we work. You’ll join a supportive team environment where ideas are welcomed, development is encouraged and success is shared.

Located on Tasmania’s beautiful Northwest Coast, this role offers the opportunity to build a meaningful career while enjoying an exceptional lifestyle — whether that’s world-class nature, shorter commutes or simply more balance outside of work.
