Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Accountant to support our Retail Finance team.

This is a part-time role (3 days per week or equivalent), offering flexibility while still providing exposure to a broad range of accounting activities. It is ideal for someone seeking a reduced working schedule, while still working in a commercially meaningful and professionally rewarding role.

You will be involved in a range of accounting activities including reporting, reconciliations, and financial control, while also supporting operational stakeholders across a diverse and multi-site business. Flexibility is supported, and we encourage open discussion around how the role can best work for you.

What You will do:

Deliver month-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis

Maintain balance sheet integrity and proactively manage reconciliation issues

Support financial reporting, including BAS, FBT, audit, and statutory requirements

Perform bank and transaction reconciliations, including online payments and merchant platforms

Provide financial support to stores and franchise network, including query resolution

Assist with financial control activities and identify risks and improvement opportunities

Support process improvements, system enhancements, and finance projects

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

CA/CPA qualified or working towards (preferred)

3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or finance analysis

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
