The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for safely and efficiently allocating of all Intrastate and Local loads tendered to maximise margin, whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service and meeting COR, OHS&E, compliance and enforcement obligations

This is not a desk-only role. You’ll be in the operation, supervising from the front and ensuring the branch runs smoothly, safely and profitably. You will:

Ensure all vehicle movements are planned and scheduled in line with legislation

Maximise utilisation of fleet and equipment

Oversee compliance, audits and weekly operational reviews

Manage ancillary and container movements in line with National Rail Operations

Ensure lifting equipment servicing and maintenance schedules are met

Maintain licensing, certifications and vehicle standards

Lead toolbox meetings and record outcomes

Drive strong safety culture and incident management

Identify customer needs and provide proactive solutions

Support recruitment, mentoring and team development

Promote a clean, safe and professional site environment

This role requires occasional after-hours support and a strong commitment to operational excellence.

What you’ll bring:

We’re looking for someone motivated, commercially aware and confident in supervising others within a transport environment.

You will have:

Working knowledge and understanding of the transportation industry

Understanding of transport compliance and legislative requirements

Strong customer focus and commercial awareness to help drive service outcomes

An understanding of strategic plans incorporating key business and customer objectives

Effective written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service
