Job Description

The Global Mobility Specialist (m/f/diverse) is responsible for end-to-end operational delivery of international assignments, ensuring high-quality service, compliance, and cost control. This role acts as a trusted advisor to HR and the business while managing complex assignments across regions.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Global Mobility Operations

Manage end-to-end global mobility services for international assignees across all employee levels

Prepare, review, and sign off assignment cost estimates, ensuring alignment with policy and approval governance

Design, review, and approve assignment packages, and conduct comprehensive assignment briefings with assignees

Review and approve tax calculations, shadow payroll, tax returns, and vendor invoices in collaboration with external providers

Oversee and validate all mobility-related payroll actions, including salary changes, allowances, and variable compensation

Apply mobility policies pragmatically, balancing compliance, cost, and business needs

Manage policy exceptions within the established exception framework and document decisions accordingly

Identify mobility risks and resolve operational issues, escalating where necessary

Support and lead process improvement initiatives and ad hoc mobility projects to enhance service delivery and employee experience

2. Stakeholder Management

Primary point of contact for HRBPs and business stakeholders on global mobility matters

Advise HRBPs and managers on policy interpretation, assignment structures, and operational execution

Provide clear, practical guidance to stakeholders while managing expectations and timelines

3. Vendor Management

Manage day-to-day relationships with mobility vendors, including immigration, tax, relocation, housing, shipping, schooling, and health providers

Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and service standards

4. Compliance Management

Ensure compliance with tax, social security, payroll, and immigration regulations in all assignment locations

Ensure mobility services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in line with internal governance

5. Project Support

Contribute and support initiatives and projects related to mobility and travel programs

Identify operational inefficiencies and propose improvements

Participate in change initiatives, providing operational insights and execution support

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global mobility practices and regulatory developments

Qualifications

Academic degree in Business Administration, HR, Psychology, or related field

Several years of experience in international assignment service management and support

Working experience with relocation service vendors and travel agencies will also be considered

Working knowledge of immigration, tax, payroll, and relocation processes

English language skills (both written and spoken)

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
