Junior Financial Analyst

OVERVIEW:

The Junior Financial Analyst prepares and delivers reporting and analytic support for the Financial Planning & Analysis group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual productivity reports and variance analyses for executive management team members;

Runs SQL queries and Elite reports to compile data and produce reporting;

Updates and maintains various databases utilized by other departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency;

Collaborates with the IT department to support the implementation and ongoing use of the Partner Dashboard and business intelligence tools;

Provides support on various special projects, as assigned;

Handles ad hoc requests, as required; and

Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or math required;

1-3 years related work experience, law firm experience a plus;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels;

Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to organize, analyze and present data accurately;

Working knowledge of SQL, SQL Server Management Studio and reporting tools;

Knowledge of Elite 3E preferred;

Ability to analyze and interpret data to support reporting needs for partners and staff;

Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills;

Must have strong attention to detail;

Ability to work well under pressure, coordinate several activities at once and meet strict deadlines; and

Availability to work additional hours, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
