Excavation Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all excavation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.

Develop and implement strategic plans to business opportunities, increase market share, and enhance service offerings.

Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement to optimize efficiency and profitability.

Supervise project managers and field teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing workforce.

Drive process improvements by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions for operational excellence.

Cultivate new client relationships through proactive sales efforts and maintain existing accounts by delivering exceptional service.

Monitor financial performance by managing profit & loss statements, controlling costs, and ensuring projects stay within budget.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within the excavation or construction industry with a strong track record of supervising teams and projects.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and sales to grow company revenue.

Solid understanding of project management principles, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in construction environments.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work culture.

Experience with process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

Strong financial acumen with experience managing profit & loss statements and budgeting processes.
