About the role
Speedbox LLC is hiring Operations Supervisors to join our Package Delivery and Central Operations team which will oversee the successful completion of 50+ package delivery routes each day. This operations management role will be responsible for dispatching routes, planning fleet maintenance, coordinating our response to irregular operations, and supervising delivery drivers. You'll be a key part of our leadership team, responsible for helping us invent & standardize processes that will become the foundation for our last-mile logistics business while driving results in the areas of vehicle & employee safety, customer service, delivery efficiency, and employee engagement.
This is a great entry-level operations management role for leaders interested in logistics, transportation, process engineering, or team leadership. For this position, we're seeking high energy, self-starters with an upbeat, entrepreneurial attitude. Because we're a smaller company, this role will have exposure to multiple parts of our operations including dispatching, directly supervising drivers, and performing some HR functions including interviewing & training. A typical day as a dispatcher will involve planning routes & employee schedules, coordinating rescues and responding to irregular situations, compiling reporting on team performance, and coaching drivers on safety, customer service, and productivity. You will have immediate responsibility for our operations strategy and processes, while affecting team engagement and business performance.
This role will work in a warehouse environment, based at the Amazon DDV3 delivery station at 400 W 160th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80023. The ideal candidate will be available to work on-site four days a week, 10 hours a day, from 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM on either a Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat schedule.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary of $70,200 per year.

Where Is This Position Located?
This role will work on-site with our team at the Amazon DDV3 delivery station at 400 W 160th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80023. We're just a few minutes from Westminster, Thornton, Lafayette, and Northglenn.
Job Responsibilities:
Be a hands-on leader that inspires team members to be their best, while overseeing multiple facets of our business, including delivery operations, dispatching, and fleet maintenance.
Coordinate and lead delivery operations activities, including leading start-of-shift meeting, van loadout, and communicating with drivers.
Provide performance feedback and developmental coaching to team members, providing coaching and corrective action on topics such as safe driving and standard work adherence where needed.
Acts as the owner of our delivery business by possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business. This entails owning key work streams intended to drive results by tackling various P&L line items or input metrics.
Proactively and autonomously innovate and implement changes to improve the customer experience, associate safety, and to lower costs.
Gathering and analyzing raw data from multiple sources to identify opportunities, establish team goals, and make recommendations for initiatives that optimize business results.
Managing cross-functional projects by planning, organizing, and executing plans that enable the launch of new standard work, processes, or business offerings.
Mentor a team of delivery associates, which includes motivating them to achieve team goals, setting developmental objectives through one-on-one coaching, and providing positive recognition in order to retain an outstanding team.
Ensure execution of daily operations plan, which includes dispatching routes & assigning team duties at the start of each day, proactively re-distributing workload between team members to achieve completion of all deliveries, and coordinating with vendors on fleet maintenance.

Ability to be an exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and courageous in giving challenging but supportive feedback when needed.
Proficiency in interviewing techniques and assessment methods
Familiarity with talent management principles and practices
Ability to be the voice of reason and proponent for change; question the status quo. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest short- and long-term solutions.
Ability to effectively utilize technology tools in all aspects of the position.
Be self-directed, ability to understand the requirements and take initiative to complete tasks independently. Stellar project management skills and aptitude in problem-solving are essential.
Must work effectively under pressure, organizing multiple tasks and projects in an ever-changing environment.
Proven ability to improve processes, document best practices, and develop excellence.
Analytically minded, happy to work out of comfort zone and operate at all levels of the business.
Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routes, manage fleet, and assign work to drivers
Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders via Slack, Amazon Chime, in-person briefings, and telephone conversations.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Process Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
Prior leadership or operations experience in industries with large hourly workforces, such as in an industrial, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, retail, or warehouse setting.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license within the state of employment.
Applicants must be able to pass a 5 panel drug test which includes marijuana/cannabis after receiving a conditional offer of employment.
