About the role

ABOUT THE COMPANY

ConeTec is a global leader in geotechnical site investigation and in-situ testing. Our growing 800+ person team work in dynamic, field, office and research-based environments where technical excellence, safety, and leadership go hand in hand.

At ConeTec, growth is not just about expanding our business, it's about developing our people, our systems, and our capabilities at every stage. As we advance toward our 2030 Vision, we're investing in the data foundations, technology platforms, and AI capabilities that will help our teams work more efficiently, make better-informed decisions, and deliver even more value to our clients.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION

We are looking for an AI Enablement Specialist to step into a newly created role that will help shape how ConeTec leverages AI across the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is fundamentally about partnership — sitting down with leaders across Finance, HR, Project Management, Operations, Marketing, and our field teams to understand how work actually gets done, then translating those conversations into practical AI solutions that make the business more efficient, better aligned, and easier to scale.

The role is hands-on. You will identify the highest-value opportunities, build the business cases, run the pilots, deliver the training, and own the data foundation that makes any of it work. You'll travel regularly to ConeTec's offices and field sites — there is no substitute for being on the ground, watching the work, and building the relationships that turn a tool rollout into adoption.

You'll operate within our parent company's IT framework and partner closely with their team. This is a highly visible role with real influence, ideal for someone who enjoys building things from the ground up, aligning systems that haven't talked to each other before, and helping colleagues see what's possible.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Partner with the Business to Identify High-Impact AI Opportunities

Meet regularly with leaders across Finance, HR, Project Management, Operations, Marketing, and our field teams to understand their workflows, priorities, and pain points

Drive AI Adoption and Build Change Capability

Lead the rollout, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI tools across the company

Integrate disparate systems so teams across the business work from a single, consistent view of the data

Establish and Operate Data Governance

Define and enforce data quality standards - completeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency - across critical datasets

Build and maintain a data catalog, business glossary, and lineage documentation so the business knows what data exists, what it means, and where it came from

Set classification and access controls for sensitive data, in alignment with best practice and parent company policy

Establish master data management practices for key entities (clients, projects, employees, equipment)
