The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity exists for a Senior Manager to join the Product Strategy, Research & Oversight (PSRO) team—the strategic insights engine for Mackenzie Investments’ product shelf. This role is designed for a highly analytical and adaptable strategic thinker who can translate complex information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
As a senior individual contributor and team leader, you will play a critical role in strengthening the firm’s strategic thinking by developing insight across key knowledge domains, identifying opportunities to enhance business performance, and contributing to high-impact strategic initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Product Strategy, Research & Oversight, you will be deeply involved in the team’s most important and complex work.
This role requires a strong ability to operate with pace and focus, translating information into insight and insight into action, while exercising sound judgment to prioritize efforts based on evolving business needs and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Own and Evolve Core Knowledge Bases & Insight Development
You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of a defined set of the firm’s core knowledge bases, including Business Markets, Financial Markets, Client, Industry, Company (strategy, priorities, performance). Your accountability is to ensure these domains are continuously refreshed, insight-driven, and translated into clear, actionable points of view that inform decision-making.
Key accountabilities:
Synthesize inputs across sources to maintain relevant and actionable knowledge bases
Translate information into clear, structured insights (what we know, believe, and are learning)
Ensure effective dissemination of insights across product, sales, and marketing stakeholders
Apply data and business insight to anticipate stakeholder needs and improve outcomes
Prioritize and surface insights based on evolving business needs to enable timely action
Continuously improve how insights are developed, structured, and communicated
Generate Insights, Identify Opportunities & Drive Action Plans
You will play a central role in identifying trends, opportunities, and risks across knowledge domains and converting them into structured, actionable responses, executed with urgency.
Key accountabilities:
Integrate insights across markets, clients, products, industry, and company priorities
Translate signals into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and implications
Develop practical, high-impact action plans to improve business performance and client outcomes
Assess and prioritize opportunities and risks based on impact, urgency, and strategic relevance
Operate with urgency where required, accelerating analysis and decision support in response to changing conditions
Exercise judgment to balance speed and rigor, determining when directional insight versus deeper analysis is required
Proactively deliver timely insights and recommendations to enable rapid business response
Prioritize and execute high-impact work with minimal supervision
Align recommendations with organizational objectives and evolving priorities
Track outcomes and refine actions based on results, feedback, and new information
Lead and Contribute to Strategic Initiatives
You will act as a lead contributor across priority strategic initiatives within Product & Solutions and the broader organization.
Key accountabilities:
Lead or support workstreams across strategic initiatives, including product strategy, business planning, and growth efforts
Contribute clear, structured analysis and recommendations to cross-functional projects
Partner across teams to drive alignment and execution of shared objectives
Clarify roles, deliverables, and outputs to support efficient delivery and accountability
Communicate insights clearly and influence stakeholders to support adoption and impact
Contribute with a bias toward action and timely delivery, maintaining momentum on priority initiatives
Demonstrate flexibility and curiosity when working through ambiguous or evolving challenges

Develop clear, insight-driven perspectives that inform decision-making across key knowledge domains
Knowledge bases are actively used and drive improved business outcomes
Identify opportunities and risks and translate them into actionable, high-impact plans

Who You Are
5–7+ years of progressive experience in a strategy function within asset management, management consulting, or a related field.
Strong investment and financial markets knowledge, with a solid understanding of the asset management industry
MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred; CFA or similar accreditation is an asset
Ability to move from abstract analysis to clear, actionable recommendations
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
Works effectively across teams and leverages diverse perspectives to drive outcomes
Recognizes and builds on the strengths of others to enhance team performance
Communicates clearly and effectively across a range of stakeholders
Adapts communication style to different audiences and conveys complex ideas with clarity
Demonstrates curiosity, resilience, and openness to new ways of working
Continuously learns, evolves, and contributes to improving team effectiveness
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $113,000 - $141,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
