ROLE PURPOSE
IIX is scaling its teams across Asia and we need a senior recruiter who can own hiring end-to-end without waiting for instruction. This role exists to bring the right people into IIX faster and more cost-effectively — running direct sourcing where it works, managing external vendors where it doesn't, and giving hiring managers a partner who pushes back when the brief is wrong. Success in the first year looks like: lower time-to-hire, reduced agency spend, a healthier pipeline for our hardest-to-fill SEA and APAC roles, and hiring managers who treat you as a trusted advisor rather than a coordinator.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Cycle Hiring & Direct Sourcing
Own full-cycle hiring for assigned roles — from intake brief to offer acceptance — across IIX's Investments, Programs, Technology, and Operations functions in India, Singapore, and across SEA/APAC.
Build and execute direct sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, talent communities, referrals, and market mapping; reduce reliance on agencies for roles where in-house sourcing is more efficient.
Run structured intake meetings, calibrate on candidate quality with hiring managers within the first 5 CVs, and push back constructively when briefs are unrealistic or misaligned with market reality.
Vendor & RPO Management Across SEA and APAC
Identify, onboard, and manage external recruiting vendors, search firms, and RPO partners across SEA (Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand) and the wider APAC region.
Negotiate commercials, set SLAs, track vendor performance against time-to-shortlist and quality-ofhire metrics, and consolidate or exit vendors who underperform.
Own the agency PSL (preferred supplier list), contracts, and rate cards; ensure every external engagement is justified against the cost of in-house sourcing.
Stakeholder Partnership & Hiring Process Quality
Coach hiring managers on interview structure, scorecards, and bias-aware decision-making; protect candidate experience throughout the process regardless of outcome.
Report on hiring metrics (time-to-fill, source-of-hire, vendor spend, funnel conversion, offer-accept rates) and use the data to recommend where to invest, where to cut, and where to change approach.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Skills
10+ years of end-to-end talent acquisition experience, with the majority in global or regional roles hiring across multiple markets. Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor — this role does not have direct reports, by design.
Demonstrable track record of vendor and RPO management for hiring across South East Asia and the wider APAC region; you know which agencies are worth paying and which aren't.
Strong direct sourcing skills (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean, market mapping); equally comfortable closing a Director-level candidate as briefing an agency on a hard-to-fill technical role.
Based in Mumbai or Singapore; able to work hours that overlap meaningfully with Singapore and the wider SEA region. Experience hiring for impact investing, financial services, development sector, or technology is a plus but not a hard requirement.
