The Role

We're looking for a mid-level QA Engineer to own quality across our backend services and frontend portal. You'll work across the full testing spectrum — from manual exploratory testing to building automated test suites — with a particular focus on API/integration testing and performance validation.

Our stack is Java/Spring Boot on the backend and Vue 3/Nuxt on the frontend. You'll be embedded in the delivery team, working closely with engineers and PMs to catch issues early and ship with confidence.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain automated test suites covering API, integration, and end-to-end flows.

Conduct manual and exploratory testing for new features, regression cycles, and edge cases.

Write and maintain API test cases across REST endpoints — validating request/response payloads, error codes, and integration behaviour with third-party data providers.

Design and execute performance and load tests; identify bottlenecks and work with engineering to resolve them.

Collaborate with PMs to understand requirements and contribute to acceptance criteria and test plans early in the development cycle.

Identify, document, and track defects clearly; follow through to resolution.

Maintain and improve test infrastructure, tooling, and documentation over time.

Contribute to a quality-first culture — advocating for testability in product and system design.

Requirements

2–4 years of QA experience in a SaaS, fintech, or technology product environment.

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).

Solid API testing skills — comfortable with tools such as Postman or RestAssured; able to read and validate REST/JSON responses independently.

Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, k6, or similar).

Familiarity with Java or JavaScript/TypeScript sufficient to read and contribute to test code.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into the delivery process.

Strong analytical mindset — able to identify edge cases, reproduce issues reliably, and communicate findings clearly.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Native or fluent proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.

Nice to have:

Hands-on experience working in Linux environments, with the ability to perform debugging, log analysis, and basic system-level troubleshooting.

Solid experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL (including AWS-managed databases), and/or MongoDB, with the ability to write queries for data validation, debugging, and test setup.

Proficiency in using tools like Jira for defect tracking, test management, and participation in Agile workflows.

Demonstrated ability to produce clear, well-structured, and maintainable documentation, including test cases, test plans, and technical notes.
