Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Radar and Infrared)

Signature Solutions, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented and self-motivated Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team that provides multispectral modeling, simulation, and data analysis support for multiple U.S. Army programs on Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The applicant will join a diverse team of engineers and scientists providing radar and infrared signal and image processing support, electromagnetic scattering analysis, measurement test execution, threat truth model development, and verification/validation support. Engineers will support the development of tools, software, simulations, and visualizations for radar and infrared data. Candidates will support implementation, integration, and validation of signature truth models into simulation frameworks. Candidates will provide algorithm and data analysis support for Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems. Tasks will directly support weapon system performance assessment, algorithm development, simulation implementation, and threat validation activities. Work will be performed on-site at customer facilities at Redstone Arsenal with regular interaction between team members, industry partners, and government customers.

The candidate will:

Support radar and infrared modeling algorithm research and development

Perform model development, data analysis, and simulation validation of multispectral threats and associated simulation inputs

Develop MATLAB and Python based tools and code to facilitate signature modeling, visualization, and analysis

Support verification and validation activities to assess and compare modeled data to referent truth data

Support documentation and reporting of analysis results

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area.

Requirements:

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Aerospace Engineering is preferred

Candidate must have 0-8 years work experience with a strong technical background. Multiple levels of experience will be considered. Compensation is commensurate with applicable experience.

MATLAB experience is required. This position requires strong programming skills

Linux experience

Candidate must have the ability to support and perform independent research. Research experience is a plus

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team

Active DoD security clearance is a plus.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain/maintain a Final Secret Security Clearance

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
