About the role:

As a Software Engineer at RecordPoint, you are a capable and growing professional who applies your technical skills and problem-solving ability to collaboratively develop new features and improve existing components of our SaaS product. You work across the product stack, considering the UI implications of what you build, how your work deploys into real-world environments, and the impact it has on our customers.

You will contribute to initiatives within your scrum team, helping to research, scope, design, and implement effective solutions with support and guidance from senior engineers. You will continue to build your technical judgement, communicate clearly with your team, and take ownership of well-defined areas of work from implementation through to delivery.

You will be a strong individual contributor and a collaborative teammate, bringing curiosity, care, and a continuous improvement mindset to the way we build software at RecordPoint.

You Will Do:

Engage in hands-on development across full Software Development Lifecycle.

Participate in the design, delivery and documentation of RecordPoint solutions to customers.

Support our Cloud based SaaS service and build an understanding of the deployment models for both RecordPoint Cloud & Hybrid solutions.

Perform engineering analysis of product and provide sound decision making for software engineering and product development.

Ensure technical designs are well documented, kept up to date and communicated across the engineering team.

Ensure code is maintained and testable through automated testing frameworks.

Keep abreast of technology trends and incorporate new standards and technology into the product where appropriate.

Work alongside other engineers, participating in engineering meetings and assisting other team members where required.

Develop your productivity skills by learning source control, editors, the build system, AI practices, and other tools as well as testing best practices.

Become a subject matter owner of components within our architecture.

You Will Bring:

Broad knowledge of core Computer Science concepts.

Professional experience working in a development team, crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques.

Experience building a SaaS product.

Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Skills for effectively communicating status to the team.

A real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement.

An understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design.

A highly dedicated ethos and take end-to-end responsibility of the work you're doing.

.NET + C#.

Python & Angular 18+ (advantageous).

Distributed systems, microservices, machine learning, event streaming.

Continuous Delivery & DevOps.

Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Terraform and Azure Service Bus (advantageous).

Experience with using AI coding tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot (advantageous).
