The opportunity
If you’re ready to make a real impact, we're on the lookout for passionate Drainage and Waterways Engineers to join our Bridges, Aviation and Roads team and help deliver future-ready solutions across Western Australia’s most exciting infrastructure projects.
At the heart of our Transport & Infrastructure Group, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology and a culture of innovation to design smarter, safer, and more sustainable drainage systems. From highways to airports, your work will help connect communities and build resilience across the state.
You’ll work on landmark transport projects, plus a mix of smaller initiatives that contribute to wider community improvement. With major transport infrastructure wins already under our belt, now’s the time to join a team that’s shaping WA’s infrastructure future.
You will be part of a digitally enabled engineering environment, where automation, parametric design, and data integration are embedded into how we deliver projects. You will assist or lead in the continual development tools and workflows that eliminate manual tasks and unlock faster, smarter, and more reliable design outcomes.
Based in our Perth CBD office, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading engineers and grow your technical expertise.
In this role, you will:
Lead and coordinate design elements to meet project goals and client expectations.
Partner with discipline leads on large-scale projects and take ownership of your deliverables.
Produce high-quality design reports, models and drawing packages.
About You
A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
3 -15 years’ experience in drainage design, preferably for transport infrastructure projects. We are open to hearing from all levels of experience above this.
Knowledge of Austroads guidelines, Main Roads WA standards and specifications and ,PTA standards with knowledge and experience. Knowledge and experience of rail drainage standards and specifications is highly favourable.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with stormwater and drainage design (open channels, culverts, pit and piped systems).
Proficiency in tools such as OpenRoads, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC— use of dynamic drainage within 12D and/or experience with TUFLOW or HECRAS is a bonus!
A positive, team-first attitude with a passion for technical excellence and innovation.
Great communication skills and a drive to make a difference.
Chartership (or working towards it) is highly regarded, depending on experience.
