Job Description
The Engagement Director plays a pivotal role in supporting client engagement strategy, driving execution excellence, and shaping innovative solutions that advance client objectives. Engagement Directors assume responsibility for understanding core scientific & medical communication strategy and projects, as well as all aspects of their assigned businesses. They serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to execute on medical/scientific communication strategy and initiatives.
The Engagement Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project execution to ensure processes are being followed and comply with client regulatory requirements. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time and on strategy, with attention to detail and flawless execution.
What You'll Do
Lead development and execution of medical and scientific communication initiatives
Partner closely with clients to understand business needs and identify strategic opportunities
Guide cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in alignment with medical strategy
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and high standards of scientific accuracy
Collaborate on planning, presentations, and workshops to support brand and medical objectives
Qualifications
Requirements:
8+ years’ experience in medical communications or healthcare communications/marketing
Prior experience within a medical communications agency
Strong understanding of US pharma/healthcare regulations
Proven ability to manage complex projects and client relationships
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Desired:
Experience leading cross-functional scientific communication teams
Familiarity with medical strategy and competitive landscapes
Ability to identify and apply innovative or digital approaches in medical communications
Experience supporting conferences or onsite client meetings
Comfort integrating AI tools into workflows
Additional Information
This posting is for a newly created role at Klick.
The base salary range for this position is between CAD $125,000 - $140,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
