Position Title: DevSecOps Engineer
Various position levels for each position:
Junior-level – 2-3 years of experience
Mid-level – 4-8 years of experience
Senior-level – 10+ years of experience
Location: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid/On-Site preferred, possibly remote)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
CODEplus is seeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Engineer to support modernization and software delivery efforts for mission-critical Army tactical.
The selected candidate will support the design, implementation, automation, security, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and software factory operations aligned with Agile, DevSecOps, and MOSA principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical software systems
Support containerized and cloud-native deployment approaches using modern orchestration technologies
Integrate automated testing, static/dynamic code analysis, security scanning, and RMF-aligned controls into development pipelines
Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and environment automation
Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program leadership in Agile delivery environments
Support modernization, interoperability, and rapid integration efforts across tactical and enterprise systems
Assist with deployment automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Technical Skills
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar pipeline technologies
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Helm, or container orchestration platforms
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
Experience integrating security tools such as SonarQube, SAST/DAST, SBOM, or vulnerability scanning solutions
Familiarity with Linux administration, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and automation frameworks
Understanding of DevSecOps within DoD environments and RMF/cybersecurity compliance requirements
Experience supporting tactical, mission-critical, or real-time systems environments is highly desired
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, software engineering, or infrastructure automation
Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS, SAFe®, DevSecOps-related certifications)
